Malga Lessinia
Our story begins with the First World War, when the hut was built to give hospitality to the troops along the border. In 1945 our family adapted the structure to a malga for mountain pasture, where we still produce Monte Veronese cheese, aged cheese, fresh and smoked ricotta cheese. We welcome hungry hikers in the outdoor courtyard and in the carefully furnished indoor hall, which in winter turns into a warm Alpine hut that can only be reached on foot. In our kitchen there is no lack of typical products such as gnocchi di malga, lasagnette with hare sauce, salted meat with vegetables. You can reach us on foot, by bike or on horseback along the tracks that in winter are beaten so that you can walk with snowshoes or ride the snowmobile. Nearby you can also visit the trenches. The hut is not served by water, electricity or telephone and for hygienic reasons we use biodegradable kitchenware to respect the environment.
